Tommy: WW1 Bunker Escape Game
Think you have what it takes to survive a glitching time machine? Step into Tommy, the most immersive, family-friendly escape room Derby has to offer, and prepare to test your wits against the fabric of time itself.
The Mission: A Totally Routine, 99% Safe* Portal Test
So, here’s the deal. We’ve successfully cracked time travel (hooray for us!), but our main portal has been acting up just a tiny bit. It’s nothing major—just a few blinking warning lights and a weird humming sound we’re choosing to ignore.
To make sure it’s completely operational, we just need a brave, enthusiastic (and completely expendable) team to jump through the portal, land inside a World War 1 bunker, and come straight back. A quick in-and-out test. Simple, right?
Now, full disclosure: if the portal decides to fully malfunction while you’re back in the trenches, you’ll be trapped in the past. You’ll have to manually recalibrate the portal’s inner mechanics under pressure just to return to the present day—otherwise, you’ll be lost in time forever. But hey, our scientists are fairly sure that won’t happen. Mostly sure. Probably sure. What’s the worst that could happen?
Mission Intel: High Immersion, Zero Scares
Looking to find your feet in the world of time travel? Tommy is the perfect entry point. It’s certainly no walk in the park—you’ll still need sharp wits and solid teamwork to conquer the bunker—but it’s a brilliant, approachable start to your journey.
There are zero jump-scares or live actors here, though you will navigate a few atmospheric, slightly dark spaces along the way.
Accessibility Note: Entering the game requires stepping over a small threshold at the door and crouching under a low hatchway (approx. 1.5m high). If your squad can handle a quick step-and-duck, you’re cleared for launch!

Visited with teenage son and his friend and managed to escape from Alan. Fantastic escape room. Many thanks to Harry and the team for making the visit thoroughly enjoyable. Would definitely recommend.

We played Edith and absolutely loved it!
The room was dark, creepy and some jumps from the live actor in the room. We emersed ourselves into the theme and had fun while being scared.
The puzzles were interesting and some were skill based which can be time wasting if you're bad at them but we did alright and carried on in the room as the atmosphere because more scary
Jay our room runner was absolutely fantastic, had us laughing from start to end and ran the game brilliantly. I didn't think I'd be so scared but I was screaming and on edge most of the game. Thank you for the great time and will be coming back to play more of the rooms
