Frequently asked questions

Most frequent questions and answers

What are we actually doing?

You’ll be taking part in an Escape Room experience, you’ll be locked in a room where you must solve puzzles and clues in order to escape within the time limit (60 minutes)

Is it scary?

Some of our rooms may be scary, the room description should give you an idea of whether or not it is, but if you’re unsure please feel free to contact us and we’d be happy to advise you.

Are we really locked in?

You will be able to leave the room at any time, however re-entry to the room will not be permitted.

What size team should I have?

Our rooms are designed for teams of between 2 and 7 players, naturally, 2 players may find it more difficult to escape than a team of 7… 2 heads are better than one, but 7 are better than 2.

What if we can’t solve the puzzles?

We have a gamesmaster dedicated to every game, so if you get stuck or veer off course we may offer hints to try to help you to escape in time.

Is there an age restriction?

All our games (with the exception of “Edith”) are designed for players aged 12 and over, but we have had children aged 3-4 years old go in our rooms with adults. If your whole group is under 16 then we ask for an adult to be onsite, but they don’t necessarily need to go into the room, e.g. we regularly run birthday games for under 16’s where we just ask for an adult to be onsite.

For “Edith” we recommend a minimum of 16 years old to play as it’s our scary room with some live actor elements.

Where's the best place to park?

Whilst we don’t have any parking on site, there is some on street parking just outside our front door which you can park in for up to 2 hours; alternatively, there is a car park at the end of The Warwick called RCP Stafford Street which you can park in all day for around £2.50-3.00

Are the rooms wheelchair accessible?

Unfortunately our rooms are not wheelchair accessible as there are stairs up to our lobby and main rooms – there is also an element of crawling required in a few of our rooms, the description on our home page will page which rooms have this, and whether it’s one person or the whole team that are required to crawl.

When should we arrive?

During the ongoing Covid-19 situation we have staggered our start times, and would ask customers to arrive at, or just before, their booked time slot (no earlier than 5 minutes before). This is to stop separate groups coming in to contact within our building.

What happens if we’re late?

If you think you are going to be late, then please let us know ASAP, and we will try to do our best to help you get the most from your visit.

What is your cancellation policy?

Once a booking is made we are unable to offer refunds for cancellations. However if you can no longer make the slot that you have booked, let us know as soon as possible and we will try our best to fill it, if we successfully rebook the slot then we will happily reschedule your slot for another time.

Do we play the rooms with other teams?

No, your team will be the only one playing a room, so make sure you choose your fellow players wisely.

Is it suitable if I’m pregnant?

We would definitely advise against playing our scary room “Edith” when pregnant! Our other rooms may have physical obstacles which require ducking, crawling and stepping over, but we have had pregnant ladies play all three. If you are unsure feel free to get in touch and we will be able to advise in more detail.

I suffer with claustrophobia, will I be able to play?

There are some smaller areas and spaces in all our games, so it’s really dependent on how badly you suffer from it, but we’re more than happy to discuss specifics over the phone, or you may even be able to come and have a look beforehand!
